There is a
notion.
That getting
to know one’s true self is a matter to pursue in the evening of one’s
life. Not when one is in the prime of
youth, to earn a livelihood, look after family.
Not an urgency, nor a priority.
How naïve that
notion seems to be?
Bhagavan
elsewhere asks what use is it of to know all else except one’s own true
self. How do we know the true self?
Is there a
method?
Bhagavan says
the only way how you can is through His potent question:
“WHO AM I?”
Enquiring
into one’s own self – Atma vicharaa.
Rumi queries,
"And you? When will you begin
that long journey into yourself?”
Right the emphasis is on getting to
know one’s true self.
The vichara way when it sets you into
chidswarupa- transcendental state, you are not lazing around. Your real dynamo sparks even more brightly,
and your work whatever it is shines, excels and would be more aesthetic.
