வேதம் நிறைந்த தமிழ் நாடு.

நமது ஆதி வேத முன்னோர்களின் சிறப்பு - இன்னின்னார் என்றில்லாமல் 

ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः

सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः ।

सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु

मा कश्चिद्दुःखभाग्भवेत् ।

ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥

Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah

Sarve Santu Nir-Aamayaah |

Sarve Bhadraanni Pashyantu

Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet |

Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||

 உலகத்தில் அனைவரும், அனைத்து தாவர, ஜுவராசிகளும் நலமும்,  மன ஸாந்தியுடனும் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பது தான். 

இந்த மஹோன்னதம் ஏனைய மதங்களின் மறைகளை மறுதளிப்பதல்ல. 

வருவோம் விஷயத்துக்கு. 

You  may blame me, I'm sounding philosophical and impractical. 

Doesn't matter. 

I feel it's duty to share what I read this morning. 

இந்தக் கடமை யாவருக்குமானது என்கிறார் மஹா பெரியவர், தெய்வத்தின் குரல்,  பகுதி 2,  32nd edition, May 2019, பக்கம் 391 para 1 - publisher வானதி பதிப்பகம்.

"வேதமிருந்தால்தான் லோகம் நன்றாக இருக்கும்.  ஆத்மாவும் க்ஷேமமடையும் என்பது என் அபிப்பிராயம்.  இந்த பெரிய மூலதனம் இப்போது வீணாகப் போயிருக்கிற நிலை மாறி,  இதை மறுபடி தழைக்கும்படியாகப் பண்ண வேண்டுமென்பதே எனக்கு ஸதா விசாரமாக  இருக்கிறது.  அதற்காகத்தான் என்னாலானதை ஏதோ திட்டம் கிட்டம் போட்டு வேத ரக்ஷ்ணம்,  ஸ்டைபெண்ட் என்று பல இடங்களில் ஏற்பாடு செய்திருக்கிறது.  ஆனால் இது இந்த மடம்,  அல்லது சில ஸ்தாபனங்களின் கடமை மட்டுமல்ல ;  இது நம் எல்லோர் கடமையுமாகும; உங்கள் எல்லோருடைய ட்யூட்டியும் ஆகும்.  நிர்ப்பந்தத்துக்காகக இல்லாமல்,  ஆசையோடு ஆர்வத்தோடு நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் சேர்ந்து இது வேத பூமி என்பதை மறுபடி நிஜமாக்கப் பிரயாஸைப் படவேண்டும்.  தமிழ் நாட்டுக்கு இதை நான் முக்கியமாகச் சொல்கிறேன்."

Of late, it just feels like - for some odds -  consuming sweet halwa to tease the Holy Hindu scriptures. 

And slowly or even almost,  reciting Veda Mantras is turning as thing of the past. 

Rajas were there to maintain and look after Veda Patasalas, Veda Pandits. 

You know who came next? 

It was Nagarathars. 

They earmarked a portion of their earnings for  righteous, religious noble deeds.  One such besides building temples in every geography where they first set their foot in is  they never failed to give due importance to establishing Veda Patasalas. 

As a small boy every time I was toeing Iyyah - my paternal grandfather -during his daily Darsn visit to our Theena Pillayarkoil, I could see four Veda Pandits sitting few pillars away from the sanctorum of  Kasi Viswanathar and chanting Veda mantras. 

Now there is neither Odhuvar nor a Pandit to recite Veda Mantras.

Isn't it time we,  especially Pangaligal of each Nagarathar Temple,   think of reviving these practices?
