அவனன்றி ஓர் அணுவும் அசையாது.....God's mischief...

After a long lull, had been to Ramakrishna Math yesterday evening. Having done dhyan in the serene Old Shrine before the Saints Trio - Maa Sarada Devi, Bhagavan Ramakrishna Paramahansa and Swami Vivekananda, I headed to my wrapping up session in the Math, that is visiting the book shop in the Math. There was a small book by Swami Vivekananda.

The title read......: Your Destiny is in your hand., its Tamil version, நம் விதி நம் கையில் 

See, the Leela, the mischief play of our srushti karta, creator, the Almighty. Though not even an iota of an atom moves unless He wills, He still leaves certain leverage in the hands of His offsprings, the mortals like you and I. The human psyche is a wild horse. Regulating the horse is our duty, choice.

He, the Bhagavan, Almighty expects us to make the best use of the choice.

Happy choice.

காலை எழுந்ததும் - The First thing in the Morning

ஆதித்யஹ்ருதயம் புண்யம் ஸர்வசத்ரு விநாசனம்

ஜயாவஹம் ஜபேன்நித்யம் அக்ஷய்யம் பரமம் சிவம்

The powerful mantra 

To pray 🙏 in praise of Lord Sun, the Surya Bhagavan.

Chanting the Aditya Hrudyam slogans you can do. But unlike we chant தேவாரம், திருவாசகம் before the Deity in the Temple, it's not to see Sun God as and when you feel like. True you get Vitamin D from Sun.

There are certain times and places, you aren't supposed to see the Sun Lord as per Dharma Sastras.

What times not to look at Sun:

1. When Sun rises in the morning - true people throng to see Sun Rising. It may be beautiful to watch Sun Rising. But Dharma Sastras codify a Strict No to doing so.

2. Similarly you are not to see Sun at the time of Sunset.

3. When in the noon Sun is at its peak, you are not to see Sun. May be because of uv rays.  

4. Again, don't see reflection of Sun in the water bodies, like river, lakes etc.

5. And during the time of eclipse - கிரஹன time.

If not to see Sun Lord and pray when He rises, what to do at that dawn:

Dhyan, -Meditate.

Why Dharma Sastra?

All the trouble in the world is due to disregard of Sastric Codes.

Where is Thinking?

ஒவ்வொரு நதியும் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது.

ஒரு நிமிடம் கூட நின்று 

யோசிப்பதில்லை,

எங்கே ஓடிக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறோம் என்று.

Two teams are playing football actively. They manage the flow of the ball, one kicks and other defends. None stops to think should I kick or defend. In fact there is no thinking. Just the process - of kicking the ball towards the opponent's goal post, defending by respective team players. Just the consciousness while acting, playing. Where is the thinking or the time to think?

ஒரு ஓவியன் ஓவியம் வரைகின்றான்.

முழு கவனமும் வரையும் ஓவியத்தில்.

Just the immersion in doing. Consciousness, Awareness of what he is doing.

நதி, football player, ஓவியன் 

இனம் புரியாதா பூரணத்துவம் உணர்ந்த ஆன்ம நிலை எய்தியவர்கள் தானே?!

Thinking வேண்டாமா?

யார் சொன்னது?

Thinking is a useful tool

Like the brush of the ஓவியர்.

Use the tool when you need to.

At other times, its - tool's space is its box,

Tool box.

நல்லவரோடு....in good company

நல்லவரோடு பழகு 

सत्सङ्गत्वे निस्सङ्गत्वं

निस्सङ्गत्वे निर्मोहत्वम् ।

निर्मोहत्वे निश्चलितत्त्वं

निश्चलितत्त्वे जीवन्मुक्तिः ॥

satsaṅgatve nissaṅgatvaṃ

nissaṅgatve nirmohatvam ।

nirmohatve niścalitattvaṃ

niścalitattve jīvanmuktiḥ ॥

கொண்டு வந்தது

யாதொன்றும் இல்லை.

கொண்டு செல்வதும்

யாதொன்றும் இல்லை.

நல்லோருடன் பழகுதல்

பற்று அற்ற நிலை உண்டாகும்.

பற்று அற்ற நிலையில் 

மாயை அகலும்.

மாயை அகன்றால்

தான் - self, the reality -

யார் எனப் புரியும்.

தான் யார் என உணர்ந்த 

நிலையே 

முக்தி நிலையாகும்.

Born free,

And passing away 

Empty handed,

Befriend the good Souls,

And get detached.

Detached 

You just aren't detached

From desires,

You get detached from 

Delusions.

Away from delusions -

The maya worlds,

Liberated you are

And realize the Truth,

Truth that

 is Self.

So enlightened

So free you are.
